Verse 1:
I write bars in my garden
One time I wrote bars with a sharpener
I write bars when I'm driving
But C4 you ain’t got a car (erm)
Everybody knows my bars in the bar
I'm a barse kmt - I write bars in the barbers
Bun a hairline, they wanna hear lines
So man are baring regardless
Look, I'm the baring champ
Bars in school wrote bars in class
Bars come through when I'm walking past
Man think say I'm barking mad
I got my hunger and starving back
Got so much drive I rah could've starred in Fast
C4 4

Verse 2:
You got mouths but don't run em up
Make you jam like lovers rock
Pshh you ain't one of us
Different brand you was made from another cloth
I was sick as a kid
And I'm still sick to the core like stomach bug
So run along
To beat C4 you'll have to make another one
I've made hits but, here's another one
They don't want me to drop like the thun thun thun
Cos that's summer done
Never been a runner or a runner or a runners up
I'm like come on blood
Can't simmer it down until I get the commas up
I'm like come on blood
Can't simmer it down until I get the till I get the
Chorus:

Verse 3:
They'll crumble like apples or pears
Don't prepare it'll be paired for your peers
Fame will disappear when they peer at ya pair and
You'll be despaired and pare and
Critique ya ting like Pearman
And you can't peer at ya parents
Cos you grew up in a stable home but you
Wanna act fool and fake your appearance
They're not killing it, bun them geezas
Block and delete like my song with Leshurr
Do you know how many songs that I've featured on
That don't drop cos I spun them cleaners
Steal the shine, I don't care what they feel to write
Whatever I say they feel the vibe, cos that's
Real alie, wheel the ting seal with cling
Build the bridge, fill them in OoRITE!
Chorus:
No doubt
Flows I'ma rip out
Don't simmer it down

Don’t gimme lip now
Boasty, roll clean

Don’t gimme lip now
Boasty, roll clean
Don't simmer it down
Don't simmer it down

Manga is the only one out here making pure, forward-thinking Grime like it used to be. No cash-in nostalgia, no catering to radio plays; just pure lyricism and cream-of-the-crop production. Remember when Grime had humour and humanity? When MC's had personality and originality that was uniquely British? Before autotune, German whips and 'manaman sells crack and manaman will shank ur mum' became the norm? This is like that. Golden.
Big up Manga - keep doing your thing. You deserve to be massive

Grime, a descendant of garage, dancehall and hip-hop born roughly a decade ago on the streets of the UK, is now entering maturity, with several of its stars finding themselves experiencing the trappings (and the traps) of major label success. But there’s also an increasing universality in its subject matter and themes, and a playfulness … Continue reading Album of the Week: The Surgery EP → Bandcamp Album of the Day Dec 5, 2011
